Winnings Appliances - Commercial Division - Case Study

Winnings Appliances’ commercial division have been working with Architects, Developers and the construction industry providing top quality appliances for commercial projects since 1906. Recently they have subscribed to Cordell Connect to ensure that they have access to the latest commercial construction project information available in the Australian Marketplace today.

Commercial Manager David Burnie had used Cordell/Cordell information in the past for previous companies. When the Global Financial Crisis hit, David was finding it harder and harder to develop business and even found that the flow on effects from the companies long term suppliers were drying up.
 
This was the perfect opportunity for our Deputy National Sales Manger to demonstrate the benefits of our live, portable web-based data delivery system - Cordell Connect to Winning Appliances. Even though David was a previous subscriber to our information almost 8 years ago – he was amazed by the features of the Cordell Connect system and the possibilities that he could see.
David has developed his own system for using Cordell Connect to ensure that he is getting the maximum value out of his subscription.

This includes:
  • As David uses a blackberry, he has 24 hour 7 days a week instant access to the Cordell Connect system, so that he can always keep in touch with the latest project information. In fact, David was so keen that that he upgraded his blackberry plan from a Telstra G3 to a Telstra G7 plan to ensure a lighting fast service.
  • Another feature that David has which has been extremely beneficial is a split screen so that you can view the Cordell Connect Project information as you are typing up your letter saving you time and money in printing costs.
  • Winning Appliances uses Cordell Connect mainly for market intelligence purposes, as David says”knowledge is power”. David loves that fact that he can make sure that he is kept completely in the loop with the project information that is available on Cordell Connect. Even though David personally has an excellent knowledge of the commercial construction industry, he believes that Cordell Connect places Winning Appliances in a much stronger position to ensure that he is always one step ahead.
In the three months that Winning Appliances has been subscribing, David has found that our Training Team – led by our Head Trainer Matt Young to be brilliant. He feels that they are all very well trained, well spoken and know exactly what they are talking about – which is very important when you need to information and or help in a timely manner.
 
Currently, David only utilises a small part of the Cordell Connect system – however strongly believes that “…if you were using the whole thing, you would be hard pressed not to impress your boss.”
